:2 Disk Files
Allows access to files on
the hard disk. The first
line shows the current direc-
tory. The second line shows
the current filter.
:3 Text Mode
Text Mode is used to switch
from graphics to text mode.
This is normally used when
"hot-keying" to a resident
application eg. Borland's
Sidekick. Use the F9 key to
toggle between modes.
:4 Create Icon
Used to add a new icon to the
screen. This can be either a
sub-menu icon or an appli-
cation icon. See also RAM
usage, Icon Text, and Icon
Commands.
:5 Use Password
Determines what type of pass-
word will be assigned to an
icon. Option are-
- no Access (requires password
to run run or modify icon)
- no Modify (can run icon but
requires password to modify)
- None (removes password)
:6 RAM Usage
CP RAM usage- Resident (98K),
Limited (8K), and None (0K).
CP returns faster if it stays
resident. If the application
needs more RAM, use Limited.
A few programs will need CP
completely removed from RAM.
In these cases, select None.
:7 Launch Key
Assign a character (A-Z) to an
icon that will launch the icon
with just that one keystroke.
A beep means that character is
in use for this menu.
NOTE: If row/column labels are
on, you will need to use the
ALT key to launch the icon.
:8 Delete Icon
Removes an icon from the
screen. If you are removing
a sub-menu icon, it cannot
contain other icons- delete
them first. If the icon had
been customized, you will be
asked whether to keep or delete
the custom bitmap.
:9 Icon Text
This text will appear on the
default icon shape. Use up
to 10 characters per line.
Text automatically centers.
:10Icon Commands
Enter the commands that would
be used to run the application
from DOS eg. CD \GAMES
CHESS
or use the Find File button to
find and select the program
file from the hard disk.
See the manual for more info.
:11Password
Used to change an existing
password or to enter a pass-
word for the first time after
selecting the "Use Password"
option.
:12Appearance
Standard icons have only 2
shapes- a file-folder shape for
sub-menu icons, and a clipped-
corner box for application
icons. Select Custom to modify
the default shape.
:13Analog
Sets the clock to an
analog style.
:14Digital
Sets the clock to a digital
style.
:15Size
Use to select the size of the
analog or digital clock or
turn it off.

also the clock on the screen.

the date on the clock.

using the keyboard to jump to
an icon by typing the row and
column label.
:19Screen Saver

no keyboard or mouse activity
to wait before turning the
screen off to avoid "burning"
the monitor. Range is from 1
to 99, or use 0 to disable.

movement. Options are Slow,
